Vegan Microgreen Fruit Smoothie

Microgreens are completely jammed packed with nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins, and they are wonderfully healthy and amazingly delicious. This fresh and healthy smoothie takes only 5 minutes to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cup of the plant based milk of your choice (rice milk, oat milk, almond milk, coconut milk) OR you can replace it with your choice of either sweetened/unsweetened fruit juice

  • 1 cup of the microgreens of your choice (I like using sunflower for its nutty taste and green pea for its sweet taste)

  • 1 large soft ripe banana

  • 1/3 cup fruit of you choice, either fresh or frozen

  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseed or ground almond

  • 1 teaspoon of squeezed fresh lemon or lime


NOTE:


  • If you want to add a sweetener, add 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup, molasses or applesauce

  • If you want, you can also add some shredded coconut

  • You can also add some ice cubes if like a really cold smoothie

  • To boost up the protein factor in your smoothie,  try adding peanut butter, hazelnut butter, walnut butter, coconut butter or powered protein supplements

Preparation

  1. Put mixture into a blender and blend until smooth

  2. Pour and enjoy!
